The good: The Kodak EasyShare V1253 has generally speedy performance; an attractive, compact package; a wide-screen 3.1 inch LCD; 720p movie capture; and it's easy to use.

The bad: Barrel distortion and vignetting at wide angle; only USB charging included; uses small, easily lost USB adapter.

The bottom line: Fast shooting and pleasing images in an easy-to-use design make the Kodak EasyShare V1253 an attractive--though not best-in-class--option.
