Elmo Japan has introduced the SUV-Cam Professional, the unit consists of a camera head connected to a recorder unit. The recorder unit has a 2.2 inch LCD display and records video in MPEG-4 format on the SD/SDHC card. Extreme sports junkies can show off their tricks as the waterproof camera head can be easily locked on a motorcycle, bicycle, snowmobile, etc. The videos can be recorded in 704×480 / 640×480 / 320×240 / 160×128 resolution at 25 / 15 / 5 / 3 / 1 FPS. The onboard Lithium Ion battery provides continuous recording time of 2 hours 30 minutes or playback of 5 hours. To be available in Japan from March 26 the recording unit will sell for 84000 Yen ($ 640) and the camera will sell for 31,500 Yen ($305).
